Now that you’ve rebuilt the engine from the ground up, have you been using XNA still?

Also what language are you writing it in, if no longer in XNA?

I’m really interested in the development process of a small team.

The work I have seen by TGS and Monolith so far is very inspiring.

Monolith is a strange project. It took form as an XNA 3.1 game with shitty coding (we were learning the framework), then we rewrote it. Then, I wrote, like five versions of the rotation engine with FlashPunk (the most recent of which is The Ascent). Now, it’s basically a goto project I use to learn a new language or technology. We’ve got lots of ideas, but no time to execute recently, unfortunately.

Has this goto project/engine ever been considered for learning/educational purposes?

I would love to use it as a learning platform. I’m sure there are others out there, but just what Monolith consists of is similar to what I am interested in.
